end of Week 2 :)

Woohoo...

Weekends are coming so I'm pretty excited :)
I suppose everyone is excited as well...but next week will be even more exciting since we are gonna have more holidays...and plus my class cancellation, so everyone has a week off for EF.
You must BE thanking God that you don't need to see Ms. Monster...haha...

This week the EF classes managed to finish the Parts of Speech and continued moving on the Verbs & Tenses. In the next week, we'll discuss in detail about Tenses (past, present & future) but those are all easy stuff. So, there's nothing to worry about :)

Today, Soroush (an EF3 student) shared about Backgammon (a game) and I really had fun watching my students playing the game. The rules were a bit complicated but 2 students managed to try their hands on this game. I think it's pretty cool because this game requires a lot of thinking skills and I think it really helps our brain to work-out..

Anyway, before ending this week, I would like to recap on things that we've done for this week as well as the previous week. Please ponder on some questions below and let me know your thoughts :)

1. What are parts of speech to you?
2. What do you understand about parts of speech?
3. In your opinion, are they important? Why?
4. How about verbs & tenses? Passive, active, singular, plural - are they driving you crazy as well?


Feel free to also post about your thoughts about this week's class. How was the lecture and also the activity? What other things or improvements would you like to see in the class?

p/s: my beloved babies are also welcomed to join in this discussion. since you learnt all these, i suppose you haven't "return" all the knowledge to me...LOL

    well, that "pokemon" board game really lot of rules.. but i think so i know to play it already, because Soroush is a good explainer.XD
    but i prefer DOTA~ La La La~

    yeap, because part of speech use to differentiate every sentences.

    4. How about verbs & tenses? Passive, active, singular, plural - are they driving you crazy as well?

    parts of speech is interesting~~~

    pos=n+v+adj+pro+adv+prep+con+'wow'...'hey'(forget the name d!!!)

    ya...vy important...cause the word can bring different meaning in different pos...(ex: love-> n?v?adj?)

    wow...is very confusing~~~really crazy d...

    eunice ah... "parts of speech can de ah???" apa la you~~!! +.+ you didn't really pay attention in the class right??!! parts of speech cannot eat de la, its one kind of beverage!!! use to drink de la!!! aiyo~~~

    clyde: yeah, u r really good at it :) should practice it more often then mayb one day u'll become professional.

    1)basic of english
    2)when revision still ok,but when doing exercise confuse...
    3)yes because they can identify the words in a sentences..

    1)interesting..can describe teacher's mac book

    2.i know how to differentiate..but when do the exercise abit confuse..and i always refer back the notes..

    3. i think is important..because we have to learn how the word is used before we learn how to write essay..
